Experiences

    In Chung Yuan Christian University, Professor Hong Ying-Yi was the Dean of the College of EECS from 2006 to 2012, a Secretary General from 2012 to 2018, Dean of Office of Research and Development from 2019, and Vice President from 2022. He was awarded the Distinguished Research Professor Award of Chung Yuan University (2003, 2006). In 2006, he was awarded the Distinguished Professor of Electrical Engineering Award from the Chinese Institute of Electrical Engineering.


    Professor Hong was the 2001 Taipei Chapter Chair of the IEEE Power Engineering Society, and the Vice Chair of the IEEE Taipei Section from 2013 to 2014. The British IET awarded the Fellowship to Professor Hong in 2011.


    Professor Hong has published 137 SCI journal papers, which were cited 2883 times (external citation rate) in Web of Science, with an h-index of 31. According to the analysis of Stanford University using Scopus database, Professor Hong is among the top 2% of top scientists in the world (2020-2022). Professor Hong has implemented more than 120 research projects, with a cumulative project fund of more than 110 million NT$ and 12 invention patents.


    Currently, Professor Hong serves as an advisory member of "Power System Stability and Reliability Improvement Group" (2023-2024) and the first "Expert Advisory Group for Energy Trading Platform" (2022-2023) for Taiwan Power Company.
